I received my degree in art from New Mexico State University and also studied at the
University of Pittsburgh, University of Virginia, and Art League School in Alexandria, VA.
My style includes painterly realism & abstraction. Usually I work from life, but I
sometimes create images from memory and imagination. I try to give as much attention to
the formal qualities of art as I do to the subject matter. Considerations such as
composition, color richness, dynamism, paint texture & shapes are all important to me.
